Message from the Chairman

Wow! Your North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce is a busy place. From the Annual Banquet to the “Night at the Rep,” the year is jam-packed with opportunities for everyone to network, meet new people and develop business relationships. It’s an exciting organization that is actively working to make North Little Rock a better place to work and live and there is a place for you!

There are many opportunities for you to become involved. One example is the popular FYI lunches that meet the first Friday of each month. The programs are informative and often entertaining. You will learn something each time you attend and it’s almost impossible to not meet someone new!

It takes many people to organize the events that the chamber sponsors throughout the year. Each event has a committee working behind the scenes to ensure everything goes as planned. Please consider finding a committee that you can join such as the Vanguard, the Annual Mark Pennebaker Memorial Golf Tournament, Next Generation Young Professional, Taste of the Town or the Leads group. Your support and involvement is crucial for success. It provides you the opportunity to meet and interact with individuals who may be outside your circle of friends and business associates.

If education is your passion, we have a place for you. The Chamber is a committed supporter of the North Little Rock School District. The education committee works diligently to provide ways to encourage students and recognize their successes. Opportunities include Arkansas Scholars, Vital Links, Partners in Education and Leadership Renaissance. In addition, The Chamber hosts an annual event to recognize high school graduates who have received college scholarships. It is always incredible to learn about the very talented students and their plans for the future. The Chamber is striving to create a community that will encourage these young people, through the Leadership Renaissance Program, to return to North Little Rock upon college graduation.

North Little Rock is fortunate to have both Camp Robinson/Camp Pike as part of the community and the Little Rock Air Force Base. The Military Relations Committee seeks every opportunity to support the numerous men and women who give so much to ensure our freedoms are protected every day.

If you are a current Chamber member, thank you! I encourage you to find an area that sparks your interest and become involved. If you are not a member of the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce, why not? Make plans to join today!

I’m honored to serve as Chairman of the Chamber for 2014 and look forward to the many opportunities I know this year will present!
